“You cannot hate the
experience that shaped you in order to love who you are.”
I found myself repeating those words over and over again.
These past years have taught me something. Something I never
thought I would be able to do. Something I never thought I had the courage to
do.
And that something was being the bigger person, in every
situation possible.
Everything will become easier if you learn to accept the
apology you never got. No matter how bad it was or how important that person is
(or was) to you. Trust me, I know how
it feels. I know how it feels spending almost my whole life hating. Hating how that person was never
sorry. Hating how well they are doing in life after all those things they did
that affected you and your life.
So here’s from me: Stop hating. Just stop.
You have your whole life ahead of you. Why wasting your time
and energy on hating? Even if that person was never sorry. Even if that person
never realized the things they did that hurt you. Even if revenge is the only
thing you have in your mind right now. Hating doesn’t take you anywhere, it
will just give you a negative mind. We don’t want that, don’t we?
Just be the bigger person. Bigger mind, bigger heart, and bigger
soul. Forgive them. Not for them, but for you. Always remember, that you are
doing this for you. For your own good. Don’t let your heart be
filled with hatred and sorrow.
Because one of the most courageous decisions I have ever
made is to finally let go of those hatred that I've been holding on for too long.
Well, isn’t happiness the best revenge of all? :)
